Ember and Ash is less of a band, and more of an artistic construct. The cooperative effort is Christopher Ryan Hunter, David Carr, Jr., and John Lee Hunter. Christopher and David both have solo music endeavors outside of Ember and Ash. John Lee Hunter is a visual artist with an ear for music and does not play any musical instrument, but rather composes on the computer drawing notes and beats in the key editor of the music software. Some Ember and Ash music is solo work by one or the other, or remnant compositions picked up by one or another and finished or repurposed, or cooperative compositions by two, all three, or with guest musicians. There really aren't any rules or intentions in the approach to creating music as Ember and Ash. The whole thing just sort of evolved naturally.... organically.
